INEC reviews voter manual to improve turnout during elections

Punch Newspapers Sections Friday Olokor The Independent National Electoral Commission is currently reviewing its Voter Education Manual with a view to designing better voter education messages that will improve citizen’s participation in the nation’s electoral process. The National Commissioner and Chairman (Information and Voter Education Committee), Festus Okoye, disclosed this on Saturday. A statement by INEC’s Assistant Director (Publicity), Chinwe Ogbuka, quoted Okoye as speaking at the closing ceremony of a five-day workshop for the review of INEC Voter Education Manual held in Keffi, Nasarawa State. “INEC Voter Education Manual is being reviewed by the Department of Voter Education and Publicity with the aim of identifying and including best methods of designing voter education messages to increase citizens participation in the electoral process.
