Since the arrival of the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines in Peru, police officers have provided protection during the transfer and distribution of the doses to various areas across the country even by air on the institution s airplanes which has contributed to the immunization process without a hitch.

Also, 1,410,834 people have received the first dose, while 706,903 are fully vaccinated with a second dose, Agrarian Development and Irrigation Minister Federico Tenorio has reported. We have administered more than 2 million doses of the vaccine, the minister said in the conference he gave on Monday, together with Interior Minister Jose Elice, at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
Olinda, 84, became the two millionth person to receive a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. She was identified in a symbolic way as such after she received the jab in Lima s El Agustino district.
