Tawi-Tawi to require vax cards from travelers starting Nov. 1

ZAMBOANGA CITY - The province of Tawi-Tawi, effective November 1, will no longer require all fully vaccinated inbound passengers to present a negative reverse transcription - polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result. Instead, they will be required to present their genuine coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination card, Tawi-Tawi Inter-Agency Task Force focal person Mobin Nuruddin Gampal said Friday. Gampal said in his advisory that inbound travelers who have only received their first dose will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine and get their second dose in Tawi-Tawi before they are allowed entry into the island province. "Traveler(s) with falsified documents shall be dealt with accordingly and will undergo 14 days quarantine in the local government unit quarantine facility," he said.
