Land of Flagstaff Road A temporary car park could be built on open space in Green Park, South Reading, as part of development plans for the area. St Edward Homes has applied for planning permission to temporarily turn the land near Flagstaff Road into a 150-space car park for construction use. The developer wants to turn the land into a car park for up to three years, with access from Flagstaff Road. St Edwards Homes says the proposals would not require any intrusive ground work and the site would be restored to its original condition once the development work is complete.
DEESIDE S Christmas card winner has been chosen after a unique design. The Leader previously reported that Alyn and Deeside representatives launched the annual Christmas card competition, but with a difference. The winning design featured the nativity scene and was drawn by Ellie Colecliffe, age 10 from Saltney Ferry C. P. School. Ellie’s card will be sent to residents in the constituency as well as further afield to the UK Labour leader Keir Starmer and Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford. Jack Sargeant MS said: “Congratulations to Ellie and to every child who entered this years Christmas card competition, I was blown away by all the hard work that had gone into the beautiful designs.
