Group finishes Bernalillo porch repairs - Rio Rancho Observer

Group finishes Bernalillo porch repairs Tomas Taylor, left, and Hank Sanchez build the frame for a covered porch with a ramp at Rose Vineyard’s Bernalillo residence. Courtesy photo. A group of volunteers has completed an accessibility project at a home in Bernalillo. Sandoval County Treasurer Jennifer “Jennie” Taylor met Mary Rosa “Rose” Vineyard while campaigning. Vineyard’s front porch was unstable, and its stairs were hard to climb for her 90-year-old mother, who lives with her. Vineyard also takes care of two grandchildren. After the election, Taylor donated materials for a more accessible porch and secured help from local contractor Edward Quintana, who started work in March. When Quintana stepped away from the project, Hank Sanchez became the volunteer construction leader, Taylor said.
