circumstances of the shooting in jacksonville and that was a case where there was a shooter on campus, someonele a alerted the security officer who responded. so you wonder what led to it here, was there an eyewitness, and that is an open question. yes. and one of the students there said that she got an alert that there was an active shooter in the building next to her. we had heard earlier reports from our affiliates that there was some activity in the area of the bell tower which as we understand is sort of central to campus. that is very close to the wilson library where the student was. but again, she doesnidn t see anything and we haven t spoken to anyone who has. but the governor himself at this point calling this a shooting, revving treferring to a shooter as he is pledging resources to help find a shooter and protect unc chapel hill.
