[laughter] president obama and to the great credit of their people, canadians from British Columbia to New Brunswick have so far rejected the idea of building a wall to keep out your southern neighbors. A deep debate over civil rights and a vietnam that felt like it was going to rip apart at the seams. In the 1970s, we had a president lie, and was going to be in peach from office if he did not resign and scandal. We had hostages in iran, and were helpless to do anything about it. The soviet union was encroaching on us. They were not just in cuba and nicaragua, but el salvador. When have we ever had easy . Went has there ever been a generation of americans that face new challenges, no struggles, no danger, and no problem. The answer is there has never been such a time. It has always been hard.
