Breaking news: Two Independence police officers were shot, one fatally, in a shooting in the northeast part of the city, a police spokesman said. A process server was also shot.
Sharon Ault died Sunday after a driver fleeing Independence police drove in the wrong direction and struck her car. “She lived every moment to her fullest,” her daughter Jessica Ault said.
