i want to talk we can talk about that but none of that happens until the border security issue is addressed that s my point. i don t know if you ve been down to the border or not but you talk to the border patrol agents and they all say everywhere we have a physical barrier it helps our job. why would that not be a central component of any agreement? i have been to the border and physical barriers have always been part of border security. buttier ear talking about 1800 miles and you re talking about rivers and miles and a lot of inhospitable tear rain. in other words what do you say we listen to the experts saying here s what a secure border looks like, put some metrics around that. but the experts are saying we need an additional 100 miles of walls in the rio grande valley, i need 100 more miles. where i don t have a wall, that s where 94% of my traffic is. why isn t he getting the money? the president says he needs a
successful? companies and people who paid the taxes to build the roads, everybody should be successful. is this a gaffe or is it the way he feels or henry ford said the reason he was able to mass produce the model t was the highway act of 1917. he produced a lot of those before the highway act. no, he did not. yes, he did. hold on. you re not getting away with this anymore. after you said that i want to make a philosophical point. ear talking about the chicken or the egg. does the government make you successful or does your success create the money that makes government work? if you believe in the former, that government makes you successful, then you have the debacle that is high speed rail. the government builds that without demand and says look what we did for you. aren t we awesome? we didn t want it and it was our money. his statement justifies did we want the internet?
