Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas showed appreciation for its supporters with a Gratitude Gathering on Nov. 28 at the Country Club of Little Rock.
The founder of publicly traded USA Truck Inc. of Van Buren, Robert “Bob” Powell, was among the notable Arkansans who died this year. Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial writer Paul Greenberg was another, as was the founder of Hudson Cisne & Co. Here are a few of big names lost.

Dyke s Nashville facility.
WEST HARRISON, Ind. - Millwork distributor and manufacturer Dyke Industries has broken ground on a new manufacturing plant in Southeast Indiana. The facility will create more than 50 jobs by 2024.
Arkansas-based Dyke invested $13 million to establish the facility, which will feature high-speed interior and exterior door manufacturing lines. The plant will support an existing facility in Cincinnati. Indiana was a strategic decision made based on multiple factors including tax incentives, available land and labor pool coupled with the ability for future expansion into markets we do not currently serve today,” said Pat Doyle, general manager for Dyke Industries Inc. s regional location.
