PEORIA HEIGHTS The village s Subway sandwich shop will move to Peoria to make way for a loft development by entrepreneur Kim Blickenstaff.
Subway, 4410 N. Prospect Road in Peoria Heights, will relocate to the former Family Video at the corner of War Memorial Drive and Wisconsin Avenue in Peoria, said Subway owner Dave Hanna. He said the new Subway could be up and running in two weeks, but the pandemic triggered delays in equipment availability, possibly delaying his plans.
Hanna, who said Subway has been at the Prospect Road address for more than 30 years, declined to talk further about the relocation. In January, the Family Video chain announced it would shut down all of its stores, including those in Peoria.
