In an update posted this morning, CIS confirmed that staff and students should be able to access all IT services as normal. The University have said that students will get deadline extensions "for at least as many days as the disruption lasts" for those meeting assessment deadlines this week.
The issues, which started early this morning, means that all wired and wireless networking across the University buildings and colleges are not working, impacting University computers and Wi-Fi.
In an update this afternoon, CIS said that "we are not yet in a position where sufficient mitigations are in place", meaning the issues with the University's wired and wireless networks will likely continue into tomorrow.
As of 8pm this evening, Durham's wired and wireless networks have started working again. The University confirmed that students trying to meet deadlines this week will get extensions "for at least as many days as the disruption lasts".
