Politico said its conceivable trump could face a jury in two or three of the cases before the year is out. Each day that passes makes cramming multiple trials into 2024 unlikely. Voters who say they re not letting the president or the administration do its yob? yeah, quite a bit of it, katy. there are several different committees who want a bite at the apple here. in this case, for folks at home, if you re not familiar with the name elijah cummings, you should get used to hearing it quite a bit. he will be the democrat in charge of the oversight and government reform committee. that will be investigating this particular case. in fact, cummings put out a statement this afternoon saying as much. but he was also careful to put it in terms that it would be a continuation of an investigation started by republicans, in this case into jared kushner s e-mail use. democrats are very aware that they don t want to be seen here as dunking on ivanka trump or trying to pursue the trump family in a way that doesn t align with what the american people want to see in terms of what actually helps americans versus what might look as payback for the way republicans treated hilla
