BREAKING: Naas women plead guilty to two crime cash laundering offences at Special Criminal Court Investigation   ); The wife of Declan Brady and another woman have pleaded guilty at the non-jury Special Criminal Court today (TUESDAY) to two crime cash laundering offences.  Deirdre Brady (53) and Erika Lukacs (37) were originally charged with a total of 52 money laundering offences when they first came before the court last February.  Ms Brady is charged with 36 non-scheduled offences and Ms Lukacs is charged with 16 non-scheduled offences. All the charges come under Section 7 of Criminal Justice Act 2010 and relate to money laundering and terrorist financing within the State.

Share this article Three people have appeared before the Special Criminal Court accused of laundering money allegedly made through criminal means. They are Declan Brady, of Wolstan Abbey, Celbridge, Co Kildare; his wife Deirdre; and 36-year-old Erika Lukacs, with an address at Lakeland in Naas. Mr Brady and Ms Lukacs are both facing 16 charges of money laundering. On January 24th 2017, both are accused of hiding €2k and £10k in cash, believed to be the proceeds of a crime, in a red bin, at an address known as ‘The Dairy’ on Rathasker Road in Naas. Just under €270,000 in cash was also found in the attic.
