Fake Cosmetics: The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has asked importers of cosmetics to provide information on consignments, bills, quantity imported, and cost of imported cosmetics to prevent sale of unregulated and fake products.
India Business News: Biological E's Covid-19 vaccine CORBEVAX has received emergency use listing from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The vaccine was approved in India for restricted use in emergency for adults, adolescents, and young children, as well as a heterologous booster dose for those aged 18 years and above. The Hyderabad-based vaccine maker has already supplied 100 million doses of CORBEVAX to the Indian government. The WHO EUL will help the company continue developing Covid-19 vaccines.

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has issued guidelines directing hospitals and blood banks to charge only processing fees for blood to prevent overcharging. The decision, based on the perspective that "blood is not for sale," was conveyed to states and Union Territory drugs controllers.
Hospitals and blood banks can now only charge processing fees for blood as the apex drug regulator has decided to do away with all other fees to check the practice of overcharging.
