Since the beginning of the year, there has basically been a demand for secret negotiations on unspecified cuts to specified programs wall hosting hostage the full faith and credit of the United States government. Goes to her doctor, who orders a lung ct scan and a new blood test developed through research supported by the Precision Medicine initiative to look for dna and other biomarkers circulating in her blood. The ct scan detects a tiny spot that could be inflammation from bronchitis or cancer not clear, but the biomarker test clinches the diagnosis, revealing a genetic mutation that occurs only in patients with cancer. In 2015, today her prognosis from this cancer would be pretty grim. But in 2018 that could all change. Lily is treated with surgery to remove the tumor and the tumor dna undergoes molecular analysis. Based on those results, lily is treated with a targeted drug that was originally developed for skin cancer but has the right properties for her tumor. She also receives a course of immunotherapy designed to kill any tumor cells that may be lurking in her body. With this treatment a decade later, lily remains cancer free. Thats a hypothetical but quite realistic of what the cancer

You had mentioned a specific number closer to 12 . I dont remember the exact dollars. Its was closer to 12 and and we came down to 10. Any money is great. What we are asking for is a step to getting back to that 80 percent which is what weve always advocated for. I might be getting ahead, the second part is to analyze strategic planning. Also we have asked for in the budget the restoration of an h 40 battalion chief that has been defunded for years. We need more assistance on the advent side. Unfortunately its not accessible to in patients that we have in our local hospitals as well as our jails. I would also note that our city purchases many of our drugs for our inpatient populations and others with a contract through a Company Called innovation. Unfortunately the pricing for those particular drugs are covered by nondisclosure agreement and we dont have the ability to understand how those prices are set. The resolution is asking for four things. It asks the department of Public Health to use consumer websites to provide comparisons for drugs in San Francisco and asks for the drug pricing through all inpatient settings federal legislative agenda for this year. We also state that the board of supervisors will increase transparency in pricing for health care and prescription drugs and also a firms our city supports for pharmaceutical prices and rate setting process.
