Pubs and bars are preparing for what looks to be one of the biggest celebrations this weekend with Ireland playing Scotland in the Six Nations final and St Patrick’s Day.
Drinks sales in the on-trade were up 3.8% overall during the last six months, though inflation, rail strikes and soaring costs make real terms growth "hard-won", CGA data has revealed.
Drinks sales in managed venues were ahead of 2022 levels for the fifth week in a row in the seven days to Saturday 16 September though real-terms growth will continue to be “hard won”.
