Prince George Free Press » Fire destroys home

Just before 1 p.m. fire fighters were called to the scene. They discovered flames coming out of the front upstairs windows. A total of 14 firefighters from three halls attacked the blaze from inside the home and were able to put it out quickly. One firefighter was treated by ambulance crews after getting some debris in his eye, but was treated and released back to duty. No one was home at the time of the fire, but friends and neighbours searched the home to make sure no one was inside. The damage is estimated at $200,000. “There’s been no cause determined, that I’ve been informed of,” assistant fire chief Drew Larsen said. “(But) there is no reason to believe it’s suspicious at this time.”
