I didnt consider this article to be particularly fantastic and it wasnt super funny, so i wasnt really prepared for the reaction that i got when people called me and people emailed me and i realized that the ashleys had been correct out of that this had been a story that people wanted to know about and also that i was the right person to write it because i would be able to write about walter reed in a humane and humorous manner with the insight that an outside reporter might not have.
