He handles things like elections, campaign financing, voter fraud and identification laws and registration issues. Before joining us, he served for two years as a member of the federal Election Commission and has been a counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights at the u. S. Department of justice. He is a former litigator, and house counsel, and senior corporate officer as well in the insurance industry. Please join me in welcoming my colleague.
