Liverpool Township Robert Tucker was arrested t 5:10 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of marijuana, after police responded to the 1900 block of Campground Road. Officers were assisting city police after a man had pulled a firearm while in Berdine’s Bar in East Liverpool and left the scene to an address at Farr Hill Trailer Court. Tucker denied pulling the firearm but asserted that he had propositioned two prostitutes at Berdine’s and was refused. Upon a consent search of his residence, two BB guns, one of which fit the description relayed to investigators, and a little bit of weed were discovered. While Liverpool Township cited him for the pot, East Liverpool arrested Tucker on a charge of inducing panic.

A semitruck crash on Kansas Highway 10 in Lawrence last week resulted in no injuries because the driver and passenger of the truck were both wearing their seat belts, Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Donald Hughes told the Journal-World Friday.
The crash occurred on March 5 near the highway’s intersection with 27th Street in southwest Lawrence. A Highway Patrol officer who responded to the crash saw that the truck appeared to have crossed traffic, entered an embankment on the east side of the highway and crashed into a culvert, Hughes said.
