For 50 years, Max Taylor has been working to beautify the City of Smackover, and his latest project – the restoration of several murals on either side of Kennedy Park – takes those who see it back 100 years in Smackover s history.
El Dorado city council members and Mayor Donald Brock discussed the Oil Town Festival during their monthly meeting on Monday. The Oil Town Festival was held all day on Saturday at Tennyson Park in Smackover .
The city of Smackover hosted a town-wide cleanup on Saturday, providing supplies for local residents and organizations such as the Smackover Youth Foundation to come together and pick up roadside trash. Before the cleanup, Smackover Mayor Donald Brock said that the city planned to send participants to areas in each ward in need of cleaning.
