Vivian B. Youngblood, age 95, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, March 19, 2023, at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. She was born October 17, 1927, in Energy, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Snider) Gentry. She was united in marriage to Paul Lester Youngblood on July 30, 1944, and together they celebrated 71 wedding anniversaries until his death July 21, 2016. Vivian worked in the medical field for many years working at several area medical clinics in Olney, Mt, Vernon, and Flora, and at Clay County Hospital. She was an active member of Flora United Methodist Church, Golden Links Sunday School Class, and Clay County Hospital Auxiliary. Vivian enjoyed attending southern gospel music concerts, cooking, and preparing meals for family gatherings. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren as well as her church family and had spent her entire life caring for others.
