am heather holmes. it happened at 2:00 this afternoon and quickly grew to two alarms. looking into the housing projects that have gone up in flames in recent years. we broke lynn with rob roth who is at the scene of the struct of fire. rob. dozens of families were set to move into these homes in a matter of weeks, but clearly that won t happen now. firefighters are on the scene making sure there are no flareups while investigators are working to find out how this happened. flames start and three stories high and acclaim the flames climbed higher. the code came in just before 2:00 a.m. at west grand and myrtle street and reached five alarms. the fire tore through a sprawling complex of townhomes called icehouse that were under construction. some were almost completed. there was substantial flame and that lit up the sky and obviously got everyone s attention. what really caught attention was that this is the fifth fire in a little more than two years in the area.
