Meadow Brook Hall, a historic mansion in Rochester Hills, reopens this Saturday for public touring.
Located on the Oakland University campus, this National Historic Landmark will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., admitting the last visitors by 3 p.m.
Guests can stroll through all levels of the mansion as well as outdoor pathways with self-guided tours through a new touring app.
Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of auto pioneer John Dodge, built this home from 1926 to 1929. It is an example of Tudor-revival style architecture, in its grand size of 88,000 square feet with 1,500 acres, recreational facilities and farm buildings. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, now open to the public as a sightseeing destination.
