Koffee Kup Bake Shop opens in Chicopee a year after owners buy Mickey’s Bike Shop building

CHICOPEE The owners of the Koffee Kup officially sold their first cannolis and cakes from their new bakery in Chicopee Falls almost a year to the date that they bought closed former bike shop.
The much-anticipated opening on Thursday was a quiet one. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, owner Dino Facente said he wasn’t ready for a large gathering at his new location but did enjoy neighbors who welcomed him to the 520 East St. shop.
“We had one cute boy who came in with his grandmother, I guess he has been waiting for us to open for months,” Facente said. “He saw our open sign and he used his own money to buy a cupcake.” ....
