Superintendent openings remain elevated this school year, but the number of retiring superintendents has come down from pandemic highs, while the number of experienced superintendents filling those openings has gone up.
After seven years as the superintendent of the Jefferson City School District, Larry Linthacum has retired to take on a new position as the head of Special Olympics Missouri.
The Jefferson City School District on Monday evening named Deputy Superintendent Bryan McGraw the district’s new superintendent for the 2022-23 school year.
