KCSO and Meijer surprise woman after car plows into her home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Grand Rapids woman is thankful to be around this holiday season after a car plowed into her home.
Wood panels are now up at Mary Scanlon’s home near Four Mile and Scenic View in northeast Grand Rapids.
They’re reminders of what happened last Wednesday, December 16
th.
Scanlon was drinking coffee waiting for her daughter to drop off her grandson around 7:45AM when a car slammed into her house.
“All of a sudden, the wall exploded,” said Scanlon. “I just remember looking down and I had a VCR on my chest.” ....
