DC for taking measures against dengue July 5, 2021 LALAMUSA: Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa has asked the officers concerned to take measures against dengue. He said this while addressing a meeting of District Anti-Dengue Committee. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa said that the data of suspected patients should be uploaded regularly and anti-dengue activities should be carried out effectively. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappasaid that the surveillance teams should ensure regular checking of possible dengue sites every week.

‘Teams made to take action against corona SOPs violators’ National April 26, 2021 LALAMUSA: Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa has said that indoor and outdoor services have been banned in hotels as per decision of the NCOC.He said this while taking briefing about steps taken to control the spread of COVID-19. The DC said that teams had been made to take action against violators of corona SOPs. He told that 110,000 people had been tested for COVID-19 in Gujrat district while 5,666 patients had been recovered out of 6,156 corona positive patients. He said that 79 patients, including 38 confirmed and 51 suspected, were under treatment in Corona Ward while 107 patients had lost their lives.Later, the DC visited Ramazan Bazaars of Kunjah and Zahoor Elahi Stadium. He checked the stalls of flour, sugar, fruits and other eatable things.

TO Finance issued notice for absence National March 7, 2021 LALAMUSA: Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa on Saturday visited Tehsil Council Gujrat and checked the attendance of officers and employees and issued show-cause notice to the TO Finance for his absence from duty without permission. The DC inspected various branches of the office along with Chief Officer Muhammad Ashfaq and asked about the behavior of the officers and staff from the citizens. The DC also visited the office of Tehsil Officer Finance Rana Ijaz who was found absent from duty without permission. The DC said all the officers and employees should ensure 100pc attendance and absence from the duty without any solid reason would not be tolerated.

3,412-kanal state land retrieved from land grabbers

National March 6, 2021 LALAMUSA: The administration has retrieved over 3,412-Kanal state land worth more than Rs 317.5 million from the land grabbers in the district. It was said by Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa during a media briefing here on Friday. The DC also visited the Municipal Corporation Gujrat and reviewed the performance of officers and employees and issued appropriate orders immediately on the complaints of the citizens. Explaining the details of the crackdown against the land mafia, Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa said that over 112-Kanal state land from different areas of Tehsil Gujrat had been retrieved during operation. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa informed that over 324-Kanal land had been retrieved from the illegal occupants in different areas of Tehsil Kharian. Non-formal schools open at six kilns

National March 1, 2021 LALAMUSA: Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa has said that non-formal schools have been opened at six kilns for the education of children of labourers in the district. He said this while addressing a meeting of District Vigilance Committee here on Sunday. Deputy Director Labour Muhammad Usman gave a briefing to the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa said that he would personally approach the commissioner of Social Security for the appointment of specialist doctors in Social Security Hospital. He informed that 90pc of the kilns had been shifted to the zigzag technology in Gujrat district. Cases had been registered against three businessmen for violating child labour laws, he told. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar directed the Education Department that no child, including the children of kiln workers, should be barred from entering the school due to unavailability of Form-B.
