Tokyo Tech s High School-University Collaboration in Education
Tokyo Tech has been offering opportunities for high school students in the Tokyo Tech High School of Science and Technology to experience university-level education since 2004. The purpose of this collaborative education is for high-school students to develop a vision of their future and then go on to university with clear objectives, making university education a natural extension of their high school education. It also aims to cultivate leaders in the fields of science and technology.

Tesla Signs A 5 Year Exclusive Deal With Jeff Dahn, Possibly The Best Battery Researcher In The World
Tesla has extended the battery research deal it had with Jeff Dahn s Lab. The electric car market has also added two researchers as chairmen.

Tesla has extended its battery research partnership with Jeff Dahn of Dalhousie University in Canada. Jeff Dahn is one of the top researchers in the lithium-ion battery field and his lab has already achieved notable improvements to battery tech such as extending the lifetime of a lithium-ion battery pack over a million miles.

Tesla has renewed its contract with Jeff Dahn and Dalhousie University. The partnership between Tesla and the Canadian University, which started on June 8th, 2016, held the intention of developing longer-lasting, lower-cost EV batteries.
For years, Tesla has been working with Dahn’s research team to develop new strategies for EV battery development and longevity. One of the most notable was an electrolyte solvent, which Dahn’s team submitted a patent for on behalf of Tesla in the company’s search for a 1 million mile-capable battery cell.
It appears that the partnership has been extended, based on a new announcement from the school.
