According to the BJP s latest contribution report submitted to the Election Commission in February and put out in the public domain by the poll panel this week, the party received over Rs 785 crore in contributions.

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received individual and corporate contributions worth Rs 37.52 crore in 2019-20, almost 57% more than Rs 14.61 crore donations declared by it in 2018-19.
Prudent Electoral Trust contributed Rs 13.06 crore to AAP in 2019-20, constituting 35% of its total contributions, while New Democratic Electoral Trust donated Rs 1 crore.
AAP has declared all donations received by it, and not just those above Rs 20,000 as required as per provisions of the Representation of the People Act, in its contribution report for 2019-20 submitted to the Election Commission.
Prudent Electoral Trust, linked to Bharti Enterprises, made eight donations to AAP in 2019-20, ranging from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 5 crore. New Democratic Electoral Trust however made a single donation of Rs 1 crore.
