Election update: Karen W. Smith, Michelle M. Loubert write-in candidates for Great Barrington Finance Committee
Phil Orenstein had already submitted his nomination signatures, so his name is on the ballot as well. All three candidates are Democrats.
Great Barrington Karen W. Smith, who served 9 years on the town’s Finance Committee, has announced that she is running again, this time as a write-in candidate for the Finance Committee in the May 11 town elections.
“There are two vacancies on the Finance Committee, and there’s only one candidate on the ballot, Phil Orenstein,” she explained. “I was approached a couple of weeks ago if I would be willing to run, and I’ve agreed.” ....
