Group backs Akwa Ibom militants’ call for Dikio sack Alao Abiodun By Bassey Anthony, Uyo Another militant group, the Niger Delta Volunteers (NDV), has supported a call by Akwa Ibom militants for the sack of the Presidential Amnesty Programme’s (PAP’s) Interim Administrator, Col. Milland Dixion Dikio (retd). A body, ‘Uyekisong’, last week initiated the campaign for the removal of Dikio for alleged discrimination and marginalisation of militants from Akwa Ibom State. It demanded that Dikio be replaced with a substantive special adviser/coordinator. Following a statement yesterday in Uyo by the NDV President General, his deputy, Gen. Ekpo Ekpo and Capt. Nsidibe Etim, it insisted on restructuring of the programme to meet its mandate.
