These are trouble times for Nigerian Super Cop, Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, as unsealed court documents in the United States has linked him to alleged Instagram celebrity fraudster, Ramon Abass, better known as Hushpuppi.
Kyari, who is a celebrity police officer in Nigeria for his high-profile crime bursting record, was named in a US Department of Justice federal grand jury indictment unsealed on Wednesday, June 28, 2021.
This is coming on the heels of Hushpuppi pleading guilty to the multi-million-dollar fraud charges filed against him by the United States government.
Kyari’s connection to the disgraced celebrity is linked to the indictment of six people in an international scheme to defraud Qatari School founder and then launder over $1 million in illicit proceeds.
