we have a very busy show. we want to start with the developing situation outside the dallas-ft. worth area. authorities there are negotiating with a man who has now taken at least one hostage at a synagogue in colleyville, texas. he is demanding the release of a woman convicted of attempted murder in 2010. nbc news s morgan chesky joins us live. bring us up to speed on the latest, what we know about the attacker, the hostage taker, and what s going on inside. yeah. a very fluid situation. in colleyville, we are about a quarter mail away from congregation beth israel synagogue and we have some developments that have happened in the last half-hour or so. the colleyville police have said that at least one person has been released and will be reunited with family. important to know, there are no reported injuries at this time. as far as the hostages inside that synagogue go, we know a rabbi was taken hostage and three or four others. that was prior to the release of this host

a stunning case of a passenger behaving badly. very badly. the latest incident took place on an american airlines flight in honduras. a man stormed the cockpit, caused damage to the aircraft and apparently tried to climb out a window. right to pete muntean live at reagan national airport with what went on in his episode. pete? reporter: john, covering unruly passenger trend, this issue, for months. has to be one of the most egregious caseses. american airlines flight 488 on the ramp in honduras last night when american says a passenger during boarding charged the jejet way then got into the open cockpit door. remember, the flight crew tried to stop him, american says, but he still damaged some of the equipment inside the flight deck. more on that in a second. you can see in the video here the man hanging out of the flight deck window. that window can be opened by the flight crew in a 737 in case of an emergency to ventilate the cockpit. in an emergency, get down on the grou
