Dentists, optometrist push for green light to help administer COVID-19 vaccine shots

There s a big push to get people all over the United States vaccinated safely and securely to stop the spread of COVID-19, and part of that effort is to get thousands of dentists and optometrists the green light to help administer those shots.
It makes sense, said Bracken Killpack, Executive Director of Washington State Dental Association. Dentists have training and experience to be able to do this. Especially during a global pandemic, you need to have all hands-on deck.
With hundreds of millions of people now needing to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in the U.S., medical experts say more needs to be done to make that possible, and that includes letting dentists and eye doctors legally help. ....
