An Amazon distribution center coming to Collier County is under construction and is expected to create up to 100 jobs.
The proposed distribution center used to receive packages, sort them and deliver them to customers will be housed in a 105,000-square-foot building at Davis and Collier boulevards, according to documents and plans submitted to the county.
The facility will have about 70-80 warehouse associates and 10-20 management positions, county staff said in an email to the Daily News. Amazon already has active job recruitments for the facility, county staff wrote.
It is not known how much the jobs would pay or what share of workers would come from Southwest Florida. Amazon did not respond to an email with questions.
