Manitoba recorded the highest single-day new case count of COVID-19 infections since the second wave on Thursday with 261 new infections.
It’s the single biggest increase in cases since Dec. 18, when 350 were reported. In Winnipeg, 159 new infections were identified, the most since Dec. 15, when 158 were counted.

For a second straight day, each of the five health regions in the province recorded double-digit new cases counts, with 36 in Northern Health, 31 in Southern Health, 25 in Interlake-Eastern and 10 in Prairie Mountain.
