Iarnrod Eireann unveil plans for new DART services By Alison O Reilly Iarnrod Eireann is doubling its capacity of train services in the greater Dublin area.
The Dart Plus Coastal will benefit, not only the Drogheda line, but it will also build the capacity of up to 50% on the existing line, right through to Greystones.
The plans will see the extension of electrification of the line from Malahide to Drogheda, and improvements along the existing DART line from Malahide/Howth to Greystones.
Capacity along the Eastern Commuter Corridor will increase from 17,980 to 26,680 per hour each way, - that s a jump of up to 50%.
