Waterford boss Liam Cahill has said that the three long term injuries in the Waterford camp are still progressing, but no return date is in sight as of yet.
Pauric Mahony and Tadhg De Búrca are both rehabbing ACL’s while Darragh Fives is recovering from an ankle injury he picked up before the Cork game.
“We’ve three main players there – Pauric (Mahony), Tadhg (de Búrca) and Darragh Fives as well, who’s been so unfortunate with injury. Not just under my term but over the last couple of years.”
“The three of them are long term injuries. The three fellas are marvelous men the way they work behind the scenes to get themselves right. They’re really focussed and driven young men to be fair to them.”

BILLY MCCARTHY HAS been included in Liam Sheedy’s 37-man Tipperary hurling panel for 2021 as he continues his recovery from a third serious knee injury.
McCarthy had only returned from a two-year lay-off following successive knee injuries when he suffered further anterior cruciate ligament damage during the club season last August.
The Thurles Sarsfields star isn’t thought to be close to a return yet and given his injury history, he won’t be rushed back onto the field.
