friday, october 11. happy friday. i m betty nguyen. it is day 11 of the government shutdown and the american public is beyond frustrated. new polling says a majority of voters would fire every member of congress. chuck todd has more on the numbers. reporter: in our wall street journal al poll 65% believe the government shutdown is doing quite a bit of harm on the economy. politicly republicans are the losers by a 53-31 margin more groups claim republicans than the president. 70% believe they are putting their own political agenda ahead of what is good for the country. the political damage to the gop brand doesn t end there. 53% have a negative view in the survey. and that s giving democrats a boost. they lead the gop by eight points on the question of which party should control congress. that was chuck todd reporting. while poll numbers continue to plummet they don t seem to be helping congress and the president broker a deal. the government shutdown is approaching t
