On Tuesday we got a message from one of our sales executives that Dean Barberie was interested in speaking with us. Dean and his Barberie's restaurants have been chatted about on social media a lot lately and he wanted to clear up any confusion the public may have. On October 30, 2023 the News Times published a piece about the restaurants Dean co-owns. The article shared two items with the public, Barberie's purchased the old Chuck's Steakhouse restaurant and they would be closing their Barberie's eatery in the mall.
On Wednesdays at 9:20 we would speak to Danbury Democratic challenger Roberto Alves. Then on Thursdays at 9:20 we would chat with Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito. Tomorrow is Election Day (11/07/23) and we thought it was important to share all the information we gathered before residents of Danbury place their vote. Below you can access every interview we did with both candidates as you get ready for Election Day 2023.
This week marks each candidate's final opportunity to speak to the voters directly through our 50,000 watt radio signal. Roberto Alves led things off and we asked him about his vision for the Hat City.
Joe Cavo has served Danbury, CT for many years as the Mayor, the President of the city council, a city councilman and a firefighter. Cavo is a shining example of what civic pride and service should look like. Joe became a regular guest and friend of the I-95 Morning Show when he took the reigns as Mayor in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are telling a wide array of stories and sharing them in an easily digestible fashion. The show isn't just providing a laugh, we're sneakily documenting the history of the Greater Danbury area. May was such a busy month, I decided to put together a month in review guide. Here's a look back at May 2023 in Greater Danbury.
