BHUBANESWAR: A 98-year-old retired police officer Damodar Mohanty on Thursday took the first shot of Covid vaccine at a vaccination centre in the city. The nonagenarian felt amused when his son took him for vaccination like a parent does this for his/her kid.
“I was taking my children and grand kids to hospital or health centres for vaccination during their childhood. Even other parents also take their children for vaccination. But time has changed during this Covid period. Now my son has persuaded me and also took me to a nearby vaccine centre for vaccination. It is a great feeling as a parent,” said Mohanty. ....
