Fine the litterbugs to get their attention
Recently, while driving down Cypress Gardens Road and then onto Cypress Gardens Boulevard Southeast, I couldn t help but notice the vast amount of litter and garbage along our roadways.
As I approached the entrance to Legoland I also continued to see garbage littering the side of the roadway.
My question is this. Why isn t this issue being addressed? With a beautiful city and county to live in, why is this allowed to continue?
Either the Polk County Sheriff s Office or Polk County Code Violation Department need to utilize resources to address this problem. It s simple. Some of the litter and garbage will have bills or other correspondences to indicate who the litter belongs to.
