A 39-year-old La Crosse man, Zachary William Fritz, is being held in the La Crosse County Jail after being charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Fritz was previously arrested in 2009 for a violent assault and was found not guilty by reason of mental disease. He has no other criminal record in Wisconsin.
