While Northern Ireland has never exactly been known for ski slopes or winter sports, a group of athletes are spearheading success for Ulster after taking home 90% of the medals at the recent Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games.
Competition was hot last weekend up north, as the Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games ran over 3 days in County Armagh, with over 200 athletes competing across both the South Lake Leisure Centre and Craigavon Golf & Ski Centre.
