Lucknow, May 2 : The Congress, on Sunday, asked the Uttar Pradesh government to release a white paper on the state s Covid Care Fund amid a massive surge in Corona virus cases.
In a statement issued here, UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu said the Covid Care Fund was created in April 2020 through which people from different sections of society contributed money.
The MLA funds were suspended for a year, and 30 per cent salary of the ministers and legislators cut and deposited in the Covid Care Fund. ....

UP's fight against Covid gets global recognition

The pandemic management and monitoring strategy of Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government got international recognition and high praise by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The state has further achieved the landmark milestone of completing over two crore Covid-19 tests, the highest in the country which speaks volume about the state’s robust healthcare system and management.
“The UP government’s strategic response to Covid-19 by stepping up contact-tracing efforts is exemplary and can serve as a good example for other states”, said Dr. Roderico Ofrin, WHO Country Representative.
The global health body appreciated the efforts made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his government for the management especially in tracking the high-risk contacts.
