East Lancs councillors among County cabinet as new leader of council officially appointed Lancashire County Council announced its new leader and cabinet at its full council meeting on Thursday evening. Burnley Rural county councillor, Cllr Cosima Towneley has been appointed as cabinet member for children and families and Hyndburn s Cllr Peter Britcliffe is the new vice chairman. Prior to this month s election, Councillor Williamson served as the cabinet member for children, young people and schools.
