More famously, if you were a College Student or a graduate student, you would be deferred from having to serve. Now College Student is a specific amount of time. You cant this would be a shock to some of you but you are not supposed to stay in school forever. You are supposed to get out after a while. So eventually, you would become eligible for the draft.
