The Charolais and Simmental breeds took centre stage on the second weekend of the famous Stirling bull sales.
And the trade was good, with averages up on the year for both. The Simmental breed saw a total of 64 bulls sold to average £6,482, up £1,443 on the 2020 sale. This resulted in an 82% clearance to a top of 26,000gns (£27,300).

Hitting the top price was Pistyll Kingsman 19 from Welsh breeders Messrs Francis. This June 2019-born bull is sired by Woodhall Ferrari, with the dam going back to Omorga Volvo. Securing Kingsman was the Overhill House pedigree herd.
